The National Mutual Aid Registry
The National Mutual Aid Registry is a single, nationwide solution to connect utilities.
The cloud-based network allows utilities to view and share crew/vehicle information, locate vehicles in real-time, and send/receive assistance requests to statewide coordinators. Utilities track contractor and guest crews as they restore service and gather data for post-event reports to FEMA and other agencies.
Manage crew activities and locations
When utilities lack a clear view of crew activities and locations, it takes more time to restore service.
The National Mutual Aid Registry allows emergency coordinators to guide both home and visiting crews and contractors to the nearest outage site. It ensures smooth communications over compatible radios, and cuts down on the extra dispatcher time it takes to coordinate over telephone.
And – most importantly – utilities will better manage safety procedures when energizing power lines.
The cloud-based technology allows utilities to:
- View and share crew/vehicle information
- Locate vehicles in real time
- Send/receive assistance requests to statewide coordinators
